Trophy Care Tips

  • Do not put raw capes in a plastic bag and make airtight

  • Do not salt your unprepared skin

  • Do not slit the throat to kill an animal or when field dressing or cut too far up the brisket

  • When skinning the hide, if in doubt, always leave more than enough hide on the cape for a full shoulder mount

  • When making cuts always use a sharp knife

  • Make sure you cut straight lines without cutting hairs while making the incision
